The Yeadim School, located in Haifa, Israel, is a highly regarded non-profit vocational training facility that provides at-risk youth with the necessary education and mentorship to excel in various skilled trades and industries. Leonard's brother-in-law, Meir Brenner, currently volunteers as the organization's Chairman of the Board. The Yeadim School has a tremendously successful track record nurturing and aiding Israel's at-risk youth by providing each student with a positive learning environment that is uniquely tailored to their individual interests and life goals.

As a practicing family physician for over 40 years, Leonard had many passions in life and always valued broadening his own understanding of the world. As the son of European immigrants and Holocaust survivors and himself a refugee of the Fidel Castro regime in Cuba, Leonard fully understood and appreciated the very real challenges that life often presented but also the possible opportunities. Whether supporting the educational pursuits of his own children, mentoring hundreds of medical students throughout his career, or supporting meaningful initiatives like The Yeadim School, Leonard always exemplified the importance of helping others to find success and value in their own lives.
